Yalo Yoga is a small company based in Sweden, dedicated to designing durable and functional yoga products that respect both the environment and yogis’ well-being. Our designs blend Scandinavian aesthetics with a Mediterranean touch, creating pieces that are both timeless and practical.

My Story
Behind Yalo Yoga is one woman with a vision—our founder, Artemis. In 2020, from her living room, she embarked on a journey to create yoga products that align with both environmental consciousness and mindful movement.
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Artemis discovered her love for movement as a figure skater from a very young age. She first stepped onto the ice at just three years old and went on to have a successful career as a national figure skater, competing around the world. However, at the age of 15, her career came to an abrupt end when the only ice rink in Greece shut down. Still, she never forgot the feeling of freedom she experienced on the ice—like a bird learning to fly.
In 2012, Artemis moved to Sweden after being offered a job by her former figure skating coach in Stockholm. Embracing this opportunity, she built a new life, working in various industries while maintaining her determination and passion for movement.
It was also in Sweden that she discovered yoga—a practice that became a source of strength and balance, particularly after becoming a mother. She has two wonderful children, full of life and energy, just like her. They inspire her every day to keep pushing forward and creating something meaningful.
Growing up by the Mediterranean Sea, Artemis always cherished its crystal-clear waters. But witnessing plastic pollution taking over the shores deeply affected her. The thought that her children might not experience the same pristine beaches she had as a child motivated her to take action.
Realizing that many yoga products contribute to this problem, she was determined to create an alternative that aligned with her values. She chose cork—an eco-friendly, biodegradable material—to ensure that her yoga products wouldn’t add to the planet’s waste. This passion led to the birth of Yalo Yoga, named after the Greek word Yalo, meaning “seashore.” By blending her love for yoga and the ocean, Artemis created a brand that stands for sustainability, mindfulness, and connection.
